Hi loves, I’m Liz Stern
When I was 3 years old, I discovered the beautiful sport of figure skating and instantly fell in love.
Long story short, it became my life for the next 16 years: eat, sleep, skate, school, repeat. The sport became me, and I identified as nothing more than Elizabeth, the figure skater. Retiring from the sport at 19 was the hardest decision I have ever made and was my first major experience of loss. Six months later, I lost my mom and best friend to her battle with pancreatic cancer. It felt like everything I loved was taken away from me in the blink of an eye.
I no longer knew who I was and I could no longer confide in the one person I needed most. For the next few years I floated without purpose and direction. That is, until I rediscovered my passion for yoga.

Yoga|Break Community
April 2019 - Present
I co-founded Yoga|Break, threading together my passion for all things yoga - anatomy, philosophy, energy work and asana - offering these in the form of workshops, intensives, community classes and our digital yoga studio.
From these events, my partner and I have also been able to build a 50(+) - strong community of yoga practitioners that gather regularly to bask in our shared love for yoga.
